Inside Technical Sales Associate

Sanitary valve manufacturer for the Food, Beverage & Pharmaceutical markets is seeking an inside technical salesperson with strong personality skills with opportunities for future advancement. Prior sales experience for a valve manufacture or distributor a plus but not required as QSM will provide full training.

• Technical salesperson with knowledge in mechanical devices including electrical, electronics, and ball valves/automation a plus but not required.

Knowledge, Responsibilities & Requirements

• Provide strong customer service to our network of dealer salespersons.
• Promote quality of products and services with the ability to market the Tru-flo products and up sell when applicable.
• Ability to interact with customers by phone, email, and text to provide a high level of professional service and technical support.
• Excellent personality that enjoys technical selling, customer service and problem solving with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Once training is completed, support the existing customer service team with technical knowledge and assistance.
• Resolving technical issues, Phone work to introduce QSM and develop project leads and new business.
• Develops effective employee relations with six existing customer care representatives and two National Sales Managers.

REQUIREMENTS For the Technical Inside Sales Associate

• 2 years of technical school preferred, High school diploma acceptable with the right experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of related technical experience. Valves and pneumatic automation experience a plus but not required.
• Expert technical, mechanical, and electrical knowledge to interpret automation wiring diagrams and fundamental operation of products. (QSM will train)
• Excellent math skills with critical attention to details.
• Good communication and customer service selling skills.
• Proficiency in computer/MS Office, Excel, and Word a must.
• Excellent MS Excel data sheet capabilities is a must for quoting projects.
• Experience in valves & automation preferred but not required.
• Ability to interpret electrical/pneumatic system drawings is a plus.
